Greetings:)My name is Yvette Johnson. I have taught for ten years as a first grade teacher at Coosada Elementary School. I love teaching first grade. I love to see children learn how to read. This is the reason I chose to pursue my masters in Library Media Specialist. I feel that instilling a love of reading into young children will create lifelong lovers of reading. I also lovvve the technology aspect of a media specialist. I like to teach others the little nuggets of enhancing a teachable moment.
This is my third semester at ASU and I have truly enjoyed all my classes so far. I hope to be finished by Fall 2009 and to happily walk at the Spring commencement 2010. (smile!)
Some facts about me:
- I received my Bachelors of Science from Alabama State University in Early Childhood Education.
- I am currently working towards a Masters in Library Media Specialist at Alabama State University.
- I have worked with children in the daycare, baby sitting, and substitute since 1991
My future goal is to gain a EDS in Educational Technology.
