Glogster- I would use this tool to assess students learning by allowing student to design their own webpage of things they learned while in the library. The students can work individually or colllaborately on this assignment.
Kids College- I would use this assessment tool to help the students identify their weakness and strengths in their grade level. This assessment will help the students meet their mastery level in their class work. Kids College will help the students think out side the box and challenge their prior knowledge. This assessment tools is very detailed and it allows the students to answer questions in reading and math. It starts the students from their grade level and moves them up or down a grade level according to their percentage of correct answers. If they show weakness it moves them down to a level they will feel comfortable or if they show strength they move them up a grade level so that they will be challenged in that particular skill. This tool gives student’s confidence in their work by providing them with feedback on that particular skill they missed. Also, the teacher can see the scores and where each child stands with their grade level. As a result, students can monitor their own assessment by looking at their scores. This tool is designed to help motivate students to do their best and it allows them to play games that are dealing with their particular skills.
