I am Shannon Sisco and I have just started graduate school at Alabama State University this semester (Spring 2009).  I am taking LEM 511 and 512.  I am currently a 4th grade teacher at Calera Middle School.  This is my second full year of teaching.  I have taught third grade and kindergarten.  I eventually want to be a Library Media Specialist.  I have my bachelors degree in elementary education from Auburn University.  I knew that I wanted to become a library media specialist after I took a class on children's literature.  It was then that I found out that I did love to read and had missed so many wonderful books while in school.  I want to be able to encourage students to read these wonderful books and to help them grow as readers.
