My name is Rebecca Holsenbeck Bosch.  I am a wife and mother of two children and I am currently teaching Visual Art to 10th-12th grade students at Robert E. Lee High School.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting from Birmingham Southern College in 1999.  After a couple of years in the stock market business, I decided to venture back into the educational world and achieve my Masters degree in Art Education.  I completed my Alternative Masters degree in Art Education from Auburn University Montgomery in May of 2003.  The Friday before public school started I was offered a job in Union Springs, AL at Bullock County High School.  I was thrilled to have a new job and I started with very little supplies in a tiny classroom.  While in Bullock County I faced and conquered many obstacles.  One of these that I am most proud of is the hardback yearbook we created.  Bullock County High School had not seen a hardcover yearbook in 10 years and I made it my goal to make one.  After a little blood, sweat, and tears we did it!  We created a 60 page color and black and white yearbook with the help of Jostens online yearbook software.  I learned from the ground up how to create a yearbook and how to do it online.  After two wonderful years of learning experience and a new yearbook, I made the decision to take a job for Montgomery Public Schools at Robert E. Lee High School.  I am currently teaching Visual Art to 10th-12th grade students and each day is a whole new adventure.  I like to joke and say I am the "perpetual schooler" because I am constantly working towards another degree or certification.  Last summer I was working towards an Alternative Masters in Elementary Education and now I am working on my certification in Library Media.  I plan to finish my Library Media certification in the spring of 2009 and I hope to find a job in the surrounding area.  I am very interested in an Elementary position in hopes of combining my love for art with my love for literature.
