My name is Dollene Trott-Smith. Over the past 27 years, I have taught elementary school in three states, namely Virginia, Maryland, and Alabama.

I am currently employed at J. S. Abrams Elementary School in Bessemer, Alabama. Abrams is a K-6 public school, providing educational opportunities for approximately 500 students.

I received my Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. My most recent educational pursuit involves taking my first course of an add-on degree in Library Education Media at Alabama State University.  I look forward to incorporating what I've learned from the LEM program in my work as the Library Media Specialist at my school.
